Ali KILINC – Managing Director

Education
Mr. Kilinc holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs (MIA) with a concentration on Economics & Energy from Columbia University in New York City, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
Background
Mr. Kilinc has over 10 years of professional experience in economic and political affairs, including human rights and energy policies throughout Europe and the Middle East. He has significant experience in the Council of Europe, and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), Strasbourg-France, where he engaged in the efforts of improving the standards of human rights, democracy, independence and impartiality of the judicial system, and the rule of law in Europe and beyond.
He also participated in the drafting process of various Council of Europe Conventions on human rights and democracy, the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, asylum seekers and refugees, combating intolerance and racial discrimination, freedom of expression, media freedom and safety of journalists, social cohesion and cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue, energy supply security, and reform process of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).
Serving two years in Baghdad between 2011 and 2013, he engaged in meetings related to economic issues including energy market, and he analyzed the investment opportunities and threats in energy field for oil companies intending to do business in Iraq. Mr. Kilinc participated in Iraq’s Fourth Energy Bid Round (30-31 May 2012), where twelve oil and gas exploration blocks were offered, and he helped international oil companies sign an oil field exploration service contract with Iraqi government.
With a team of four, he prepared a Capstone Project for Crédit Agricole CIB – 1301, 6th Ave, New York City – titled: “Analyzing the prospects for small-scale liquefaction projects” which provides detailed analysis of small-scale LNG cost structure and its advantages in comparison to large-scale LNG projects in the context of the current outlook for global LNG pricing.
He also single-handedly orchestrated Joint Economic Commission meetings with Russia, Ukraine, Moldavia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan between 2009 and 2011, with a view to improving economic relations and energy security with these countries.

Master’s Degree from Columbia University in International Finance and Economics
Ms. Shi has extensive knowledge in banking and diplomacy from her diverse experience in Asia, Europe and North America. She has worked at major U.S. banks and served as Political Officer at the British Embassy in Beijing where she advised the British government on formulating policies towards China and facilitated bilateral trade. Besides contributing trade deals between China and the U.K, Ms. Shi also worked at the European Parliament in Brussels analyzing sovereign debt issues and post-crisis impact in the region.
Colin Chan

Mr. Chan has over 10 years of experience in the field of Education within the U.S. through curriculum design, community organizing, and political advocacy. He has consulted in projects for the New York City Economic Development Corporation in their Strategic Investments Group as well as for the State Education Department and the New York City Department of Education. He served as a board member and consultant to two non-profit organizations within the U.S. providing strategic planning, and board development.
Jamie W. Burns

His key expertise lies in understanding in training and process flows for education organizations.
Samir Haziyev

Mr. Haziyev worked as a Senior Economist in the Banking Regulation Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Mr. Haziyev served as a Chief Advisor (2006-2016) in Finance and Economic Central Department where he analyzed financial aspects of the strategies made and advised the upper management on multiple policy positions.
